Petersburg

THE PLACE TO GET AWAY FROM THE CROWDS

Alaska’s own “Little Norway” is located at the heart of the Inside Passage and is full of small town charm. This village has more than enough marine entertainment. Humpback whales call this area home in the summer and villagers make their livelihoods by fishing for salmon in Petersburg’s abundant waters. Another top destination is the Stikine-LeConte Wilderness Area, with its beautiful LeConte Glacier calving tons of bright blue icebergs just a short boat ride away.

Leave the crowds behind, and visit this thriving fishing village with a strong Norwegian heritage.
