Humpback Whales

Humpback whale adults range in length from 39-52 feet and weigh approximately 79,000 pounds. The humpback has a distinctive body shape, with unusually long pectoral fins and a knobby head. It is an acrobatic animal, often breaching and slapping the water.

Brown Bears

Brown bears are abundant on Admiralty Island near Juneau and can be seen on bear-viewing tours and excursions. They feed on salmon in nearby rivers.
